Josh has been complaining that he doesn’t get enough face time on here, so I thought this little quiz would be a lovely introduction.  Let’s see how well I know my husband of {almost} seven years.

1. He’s sitting in front of the tv.  What’s on?

Me ~ Football.  Or Modern Marvels.

Him ~ Modern Marvels.

2. You’re out to eat.  What kind of dressing does he have on his salad?

Me ~ Ranch.  For sure.

Him ~ Ranch.  Lots of it.

3. What’s one food he doesn’t like?

Me ~ Anything fruity.

Him ~ What’s that fake food?  Tofu.  Oh, except in Miso Soup. 

4. You go out to eat and drink.  What does he order?

Me ~ Budlight and a burger.

Him ~ Where am I going? {After much deliberation…} A gyro.  With saffron rice.  And a Budlight.  Or a good IPA.  Or chardonnay.  Stop asking such broad questions.

5. Where did he go to high school?

Me ~ Bellingham High School. 

Him ~ Bellingham.  You know that.  It’s where I met you.

6. What shoe size does he wear?

Me ~ An 11.

Him ~ 11?  I think.

7. If he was to collect anything, what would it be?

Me ~ Old skool Nintendo games.  He already does.  Over 200.

Him ~ Nintendo games.

8. What would he eat everyday if he could?

Me ~ There are a lot of food questions here.  Um, does beer count?

Him ~ AmPm cheeseburgers.

9. What’s his favorite cereal?

Me ~ Seriously with the food questions.  Cinnamon Life.

Him ~ Hmmm.  That’s tough.  Cinnamon Life.

10. What would he never wear?

Me ~ Tight jeans.

Him ~ A dress?

11.  What’s his favorite sports team?

Me ~ Seahawks.

Him ~ Seahawks.  Regretfully.

12. Who did he vote for?

Me ~ McCain. 

Him ~ McCain.

13. What’s something you do that he wishes you wouldn’t do?

Me ~ Drive his car harshly.

Him ~ {He’s loving this question.} Chew on your fingers when you read in bed at night.

14. What’s his favorite color?

Me ~ Janie has declared that it’s blue and green.  I’ll agree.

Him ~ Don’t really have one.  According to Janie it’s blue and green.

15. You bake him a cake for his birthday.  What kind is it?

Me ~ Red velvet.

Him ~ Red velvet.  Cupcakes.

16. Did he play sports in high school?

Me ~ No… I don’t think so…

Him ~ No.

17. What could he spend hours doing?

Me ~ Tinkering around outside and in the shop.

Him ~ Woodworking. Cleaning the car.

18. What is one unique talent that he has?

Me ~ A really good turkey sound.  Gobble.  Gobble.

Him ~ I guess I can gobble like a turkey pretty good.

Mama Chick was a little late for last week’s post.  Sorry.

Two-thirds of you guessed that the orange sandals were the $200 pair, when in fact, it is the turquoise pair that are the more expensive shoes!!!

Personally, I prefer the orange pair- especially the softer foot bed (because my feet get too sweaty and slippery in the smooth ones!) and the way that the fringe seems to hang lower and more naturally on the orange pair.

If you are the parent of a toddler or preschooler, you probably recognize this little device and can recite the song that goes along with it by heart.

Janie got this for Christmas and it’s usually part of our dinner time routine.  While I whip up something yummy for us to eat (ahem, right?),Janie entertains herself with phonics and spelling and such.  One feature is that you can put any three letters in the spaces and it will sound out the word phonetically and pronouce the word (even if it’s not a real word).  You can see where this is going, right?

The people at Leap Frog thought ahead (in anticipation of 13-year old older brothers and parents who are easily amused) and the above letter combination makes the device go silent.

This skirt has been at Anthro for a while now and it’s a fave.  It’s super short and looks perfect with opaque black tights for the cold days and bare-legged for the warm days.  I’m more of a dress wear-er than a skirt wear-er, but I might have to make an exception for this one.
